DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning immediately rejuvenates the skin by removing the build-up of dead skin cells and vellus hair – perfect for you if you are looking for a clearer complexion and tone. A non-invasive procedure perfect for dry skin which helps with the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture. Additional benefits for this treatment is that it is safe for most clients.

Dermaplaning is a less deep method of skin resurfacing than microdermabrasion and is just perfect for those with dry skin. A sterile, surgical scalpel gently removes the top layer of dead skin from the surface of the face, along with the ‘peachy fuzz’ hair – and don’t worry, it will not grow back either thicker or darker.

Dermaplaning is one of the most effective exfoliation treatments available for the face. Simple and safe, leaving your skin brighter, smoother, glowing and more youthful! It is a hugely popular treatment that delivers fantastic results.

Q&A

Is this a good treatment for me ?

Superficial sun damaged skin? Fine lines? Dry or dull skin? All excellent candidates for Dermaplaning to fix! Unless you have active acne, this treatment is suitable for almost everyone; especially those who dislike the appearance of peachy fuzz hair beneath their foundation make-up! You will be able to discuss expectations and required outcomes during your tailored one-to-one session with our qualified therapists.

Is it painful ?

Unlike many skin rejuvenation treatments, Dermaplaning is non-invasive, so requires no recovery time. There may be a slight redness but nothing to stop you returning to work immediately afterwards (even if you really don’t want to…). Be extra vigilant with using SPF though as post-exfoliation, your skin is especially vulnerable in the sunlight.

How long is the treatment ?

Each treatment will take between 30 to 45 minutes. A peel can be added as it will rapidly penetrate into the skin due to the absorption being around 50% more effective following a treatment.

How long does it last ?

You can expect the results to last for up to four weeks so your skin will glow all month long! As your skin grows every three weeks, a monthly treatment is ideal to ensure the maintenance of the removal of the excess fine hairs that trap dirt and oil, and the dead skin cells in your pores that are the main cause of acne and blemishes.
